After surrender, Kejriwal now faces questions from ED. Court sent on remand

 Actually, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had sought the custody of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Regarding this, Kejriwal was produced through video conferencing from inside Tihar Jail.


After surrendering in Tihar Jail, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal appeared in the court. Arvind Kejriwal appeared in Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court. Actually, the Enforcement Directorate had sought the custody of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Regarding this, Kejriwal was produced through video conferencing from inside Tihar Jail. Duty Judge Sanjeev Aggarwal has heard this case. ED has said that Arvind Kejriwal has been made an accused, hence we are requesting for custody.

Rouse Avenue Court has sent Kejriwal to ED custody till June 5. Now after this, CM Kejriwal will have to face questions from the Enforcement Directorate in the liquor scam. The court noted that ED had recently filed a petition to take Arvind Kejriwal on remand. Since Kejriwal was on interim bail, the investigation agency's petition was pending. After Kejriwal's appearance, the duty judge heard the ED's petition in Rouse Avenue Court. After which the judge decided to send him on ED remand till June 5.

ED has arrested CM Arvind Kejriwal in a case related to money laundering in Delhi's famous liquor scam. Arvind Kejriwal got interim bail from the Supreme Court and came out of jail for election campaign. After completion of interim bail, Kejriwal surrendered in the court. His wife Sunita Kejriwal and daughter Harshita also went to drop Arvind Kejriwal to jail. After Kejriwal went to Tihar Jail, both of them returned from there.



Before surrendering in Tihar Jail, CM Arvind Kejriwal went to Rajghat. Here he paid tribute to President Mahatma Gandhi. After this he also went to the office of Aam Aadmi Party. Here, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, while addressing the party workers, said that he has been put in jail without any evidence. Kejriwal said that he is going to surrender and after this it is not known what will happen to him. Kejriwal said that he is not going to jail because he has committed corruption but he is going to jail because he had raised his voice against dictatorship.
