A victim of the attack said that after the firing by the terrorists, the bus fell into a deep gorge. Despite this, the terrorists kept firing so that no one was left alive. Narrating the story of this terrible attack, he said that the terrorists wanted every devotee to die there. This bus was going from Shiv Khodi to Mata Vaishno Devi.


In this terrorist attack, 9 people have died and 33 people have been injured. According to the administration, the terrorists attacked the bus not only from one side but from at least three sides. After this the driver was shot and the bus fell into a ditch. According to India Today report, a victim said that the bullets continued for about 20 minutes.


They said. After visiting Mata Vaishno Devi, we went to Shiv Khodi. While returning from there, firing started on the bus at a distance of 4-5 kilometers. The firing did not stop even after our bus fell into a ditch. First the driver was shot and after that some other people were also shot. Another passenger said, I think there were two or three terrorists there. My son saw that a person was firing from behind the bus also.


An eyewitness said that at least six or seven people had attacked the bus. Terrorists were firing from all sides of the road. When the bus fell into the ditch and the terrorists continued firing, many people lay down silently so that the terrorists would think that they had died. Let us tell you that the Police, Army and CRPF have set up a temporary operation headquarters at the incident site. The search for the attackers is going on. Security forces have also been deployed in Rajouri district and are keeping strict vigil.


Reasi Senior Superintendent of Police Mohit Sharma said that there was continuous patrolling around Shiv Khodi temple also. He said that firing practice has also been started with village defense teams and they will also be kept on alert. According to the information, three women are included in the dead.
